10 Oct Our Brains Want a D.O.S.E & Doesn’t Care How It Gets It
We have to pay attention if we want to create positive habits in our lives and not destructive ones. Our brains to want a D.O.S.E.
D: Dopamine = Dreams. O: Oxytocin = Others. S: Serotonin = Success. E: Endorphins = Enthusiasm.
These are the feel-good chemicals in our body – and our brains REALLY are hooked on them.
Sometimes when we do things that are counter-productive to what we really need however just because our brain is looking for a quick hit of these feelings. They might be alcohol or smoking or something else that is destructive. That’s when we have to override our brains and choose positive actions and activities that help us get that D.O.S.E. in healthy and positive ways.
