Be Committed to the Process

POWERFACT:  To be great at anything you have to commit to building the skills that it takes to be at the top of your field.

For most people building skills takes time, energy, and a commitment to the process. Like playing the piano. Most of us aren’t born with that skill. It takes practice and skill building and coaching, and teaching — real estate is a lot like that as well. Don’t get distracted by the shiny new this or the hot new that. Stay focused and driven – and anything is possible.

When it comes to getting out of our comfort zones, learning new skills, and taking on new challenges, it’s often easy to say, “I’ll try.” We’ve all muttered that expression. Some of us have even said it with gusto! But try — and do — are two totally different things. I’m a Star Wars fan, and this whole concept reminds me of the Yoda line, “There is no try. Only do.”

Our market is changing. The truth is it always has been and it always will be.
