That’s exactly what our Smile Squad retreat with Darryl Davis felt like: a deep dive into the magic that makes us who we are, so we can continue creating firework moments for our POWER AGENT® members.
The Power of Stepping Back to Move Forward
This time of year is riddled with distractions. The real estate industry is changing at warp speed, agents are bombarded with noise, and it’s easy to fall into reactive mode. But great businesses—and great lives—aren’t built on reaction. They’re built on reflection, vision, and strategy.
Taking a step back at this retreat gave us the clarity to see ahead. We took a page from Disney’s book: Future-scaping. Walt Disney didn’t just dream up a theme park—he envisioned an entire experience, one he wouldn’t live to see completed, but one so crystal-clear in his mind that it could be built brick by brick. As Roy O. Disney famously said at the opening of Magic Kingdom, when asked if it was a shame Walt didn’t live to see it, “He did see it. That’s why we’re here.”
That’s how we’re approaching our mission to reimagine all new possibilities for our members here at POWER AGENT® HQ. We’re not just building a coaching and training program; we’re creating a movement. A place where agents find not just answers, but breakthroughs. As Walt himself said, “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”
Mapping Out Unique Journeys: Lessons from Magic Kingdom
Each agent’s journey is unique—just like the different lands of Magic Kingdom. Some need the adventure of Frontierland, tackling challenges head-on with bold strategies. Others thrive in Tomorrowland, embracing cutting-edge technology and AI-powered tools like Digital Darryl™ to future-proof their business. And some need the heart and nostalgia of Main Street, U.S.A., strengthening relationships with clients and communities.
Just like guests in the park, agents have different paths, but they all can lead to transformation. We know that our job is to provide the roadmap, guiding them through the tools, training, and coaching that fit their highest needs and priorities. Like Disney, we believe in making the experience seamless, inspiring, and, most of all, magical. As Walt once said, “You can dream, create, design, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it requires people to make the dream a reality.”

One of the greatest lessons from our retreat? The real magic isn’t in what’s seen—it’s in what happens behind the curtain. Disney operates like a well-oiled machine, with a culture so strong that every cast member embodies its mission. Guests don’t need to know how it all works, only that it does. The same applies to our mission for our agents.

Firework Moments for Our Members
One of the biggest revelations from our retreat was this: every member of our squad LOVES what they do. They love who they work with. They love that their work changes lives. That passion is our fuel, and it’s why we show up every day with the mission to create firework moments for our POWER AGENTS®—those game-changing, confidence-building, business-sparking breakthroughs that take them from overwhelmed to unstoppable.
We also deeply appreciated the insights of cast members and our tour guide, who shared behind-the-scenes perspectives that reinforced the importance of culture, consistency, and vision. Their passion for Disney’s mission resonated deeply with us and reaffirmed our own commitment to serving our agents at the highest level.
At the same time, we couldn’t help but miss a few team members who weren’t able to attend. Their presence was felt, and we can’t wait to incorporate their insights and energy into everything we’ve learned and planned for the future.

Here are four powerful lessons we wanted to share to help you to reimagine YOUR results and journey this year:
- Future-Scape Your Business Like Walt
Walt Disney didn’t wait for the perfect conditions—he saw the future before it happened. Action Step: Take time to envision where you want your business to be by the end of 2025. What does success look like? What steps can you take now to make that vision a reality? Write it down, map it out, and start acting as if you’re already there.
- Engineer a Flawless Client Journey
Disney doesn’t leave anything to chance—every detail is meticulously planned to create an effortless, memorable experience for guests. Action Step: Take a step back and walk through your client’s journey as if you were a first-time buyer or seller working with you. Where are the friction points? Where can you make the process smoother, more enjoyable, and even delightful? Whether it’s clear communication, proactive updates, or small touches that make them feel valued, designing a seamless experience fosters trust, referrals, and long-term success.
- Find Your Magic Kingdom Strategy
Just like every guest has their favorite “land” at Disney, every agent has strengths to leverage. Action Step: Identify your dominant skill set—are you best at negotiations, relationship-building, marketing, or tech? Double down on that strength while improving weaker areas. Build your business in a way that aligns with your strengths and excites you.
- Create Firework Moments for Clients
Disney is known for its fireworks—not just literal ones, but the moments that create lasting memories. Action Step: How can you create memorable experiences for your clients? Whether it’s celebrating milestones, making the buying/selling process stress-free, or simply being the most attentive and knowledgeable agent they meet, small touches create lasting impressions (and referrals!).

Coming out of this retreat, one thing is clearer than ever: we are here for real estate agents. The ones trying to navigate shifting commission structures, the ones dealing with client fears, the ones working late into the night wondering if they’re doing enough. Our promise?
