There is nothing we love more than seeing real estate agents getting creative in how they connect with homeowners! With thousands of fun opportunities throughout the year, we’re just in time for spring fun. This is also one of the best times for SMILE Stops!
What Are SMILE Stops™?
It’s pretty self-explanatory, but there is a secret that we want to share, too! Not only are Smile Stops something you can use to make your clients smile, but “Smile” is actually an acronym!
S: Service (focus on service not selling)
M: Meet face-to-face
I: Invite them to share their needs by asking questions
L: Leave behind a token of gratitude
E: Elevate the relationship
The premise of these stops is to use fun little gifts or treats as a method of thanking your past clients for their business; complete with your name and number so they can call anytime they have questions, and particularly so yours is the name in front of them when they decide to list!

How to Use SMILE Stops™
SMILE Stops are a ton of fun for everyone and a great way to pop in to visit a client to check in and show your gratitude. After all, without them, you wouldn’t be where you are today!

Here are some fun SMILE Stop ideas for SPRING!
One: March 23rd – National Puppy Day! Visit 3 great clients that you know to be dog lovers with a treat for their pet and a note that says, Wishing you and your pet a PAWSOME Puppy Day!
Two: April is Lawn & Garden Month. Send a package of spring seeds to 10 past clients with a note, Just sending a little spring your way! Thanks for being a great client!
Three: April 10th – National Siblings Day. Bring a small treat or a box of cookies with a note: “Just like great siblings, great clients are always there for you. Thanks for being part of my real estate family!”
Four: April 17th – National Haiku Poetry Day: Deliver a fun spring-themed notecard with a handwritten haiku:
“Home is where hearts grow,
Memories bloom like flowers,
Thanks for trusting me!”
Five: April 22nd – Earth Day. Bring a small potted plant or a package of wildflower seeds with a note: “A greener planet starts at home! Thanks for being an amazing client!”
Six: April 25th – Arbor Day! Bring a tree seedling to at least 5 great clients with a note, Plant a tree and Mother Earth Smiles! Happy Arbor Day!
Seven: May 4th – Star Wars Day: For any Star Wars fans in your client base, drop off a themed treat (think Yoda cookies or Starburst candies) with a note:
“May the market be with you! Thinking of you and always here for your real estate needs!”
Eight: May 10th – National Clean Up Your Room Day: Deliver a small spring-cleaning kit (a microfiber cloth, all-purpose cleaner, or an organizing tip sheet) with a note:
“A little spring cleaning makes everything feel fresh—just like a great real estate move! Let me know if you’re ready for a change!”
Nine: May 15th – National Chocolate Chip Day. Drop off a small bag of homemade or store-bought chocolate chip cookies with a note:
“Clients like you are the sweetest! Thanks for being such a great part of my business!”
